One month after getting Spice Girls fans excited about the "incredible new opportunities" for the band, Victoria Beckham has revealed that there will be no reunion.

Media reports suggested that the group had already signed a deal to work on new projects together in 2018.

But Mel C, aka Sporty Spice, says she doesn't think fans will "be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year".

"Victoria has been quite vocal, it's really not something she wants to do at this time," she told The Sun.

Some fans have suggested that Mel C, Mel B, Geri Halliwell-Horner, and Emma Bunton tour as a foursome.

But Mel C says that would not work.

"I think it has to be all five, so it's tricky. It's very early stages, we're not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time."

Victoria shared a video on Instagram of herself hanging out with the rest of the Spice Girls a month ago.

"Love you ladies," she captioned the video.

Victoria says while it was great to see the girls, they were just "bouncing ideas around".

The 43-year-old is focusing on her successful fashion career, and does not seem keen on a reunion.

Hopefully she will change her mind about a Spice Girls reunion.
