Billie surprised her fans with two new songs this week.
Billie Eilish has released new music nearly one year after she dropped her fan-favourite, 'Happier Than Ever'. The 20-year-old dropped a two-track EP called 'Guitar Songs' on Thursday.
Billie says she really wanted the songs, 'TV' and 'The 30th', to be available for her fans as soon as possible.
The tracks feature her brother, Finneas O'Connell, who plays the acoustic guitar. Finneas produces and co-writes many of Billie's songs.
They both won a 'Best Original Song' Academy Award at the 2022 Oscars for Billie's hit single, 'Not Time To Die'. The James Bond theme song also earned the pair a Grammy.
Billie says her songs "mean so much" to her.
"A little surprise for youuuuuuuu…… TWO NEW ONES!!!! “TV” and “The 30th” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these songs mean so so much to me. T am so happy for them to be yours. “Guitar Songs” OUT NOW!!!!!'" she wrote on her Instagram page.
MORE ON EAST COAST RADIO:
Fans who attended Billie's 'Happier Than Ever' tour in June were the first to hear 'TV'.
"Performing ‘TV’ on tour was such a highlight for us too, so we took the audio from the first night we played it in Manchester and put it in the song. I get shivers every time I hear it. Hope you love the songs and thank you for letting us share our music with you," Billie said in a statement, according to Variety.
She wrote and recorded 'The 30th' after someone close to her was involved in a car crash. The song describes the feelings they both felt after the incident.
