Stevie Nicks praises Ndlovu Youth Choir's "brilliant and moving" performance

Rock 'n roll royalty just gave the Ndlovu Youth Choir some major praise.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir's recent performance on 'America’s Got Talent All-Stars' was so good that it got the attention of music icon Stevie Nicks.
The all-stars show is a spin-off of the original talent competition. It features 60 acts from past seasons, including winners and finalists. Fan favourites also feature.
The Ndlovu Youth Choir made it to the finals of 'America’s Got Talent' in 2019. Pianist Kodi Lee went on to win season 14, with the Limpopo choir finishing in second place.
But they are back with a major bang for the all-star series and are already winning over viewers.
The South African choir sang their original song, 'We Will Rise', on Monday night. Their performance was widely praised by judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel, who gave them a standing ovation.
"Traditionally, I don't respond to choirs. I've seen choirs and I always, kind of have the same comment. I feel like it's a school assembly. This didn't look like an assembly. This looked like a finished Broadway show," Howie said.
Simon added: "Absolutely, you did the right thing coming back with your own material... What a beautiful reaction from the audience behind me."

Rock legend Stevie Nicks was equally impressed. She sent the choir a letter praising their performance.
"To the Ndlovu Choir, I just wanted to congratulate you on your brilliant and moving performance last night on America’s Got Talent,” said Nicks. It made me feel like maybe, someday, with your help, the whole world will rise again. You are the world!" the 'Dreams' hitmaker wrote.
The choir was excited to "receive a letter from rock & roll royalty".

The choir hopes they can one day perform with Stevie.
"We would love to have you in our choir. Your beads are waiting for you, and our conductor will send you a list of songs and choreography you need to learn. You might know our latest song, ‘Seven Wonders’.
"We look forward to welcoming you to our family. Much love, Ndlovu Youth Choir."Main image credit: YouTube/ America's Got Talent
