Report: Kanye West drops out of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Kanye 'Ye' West's fans have been left disappointed after the superstar reportedly pulled out of this year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Kanye 'Ye' West will no longer be performing at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
The superstar was scheduled to perform on Sunday, April 17, and a week later on the 24th.
According to Page Six, Ye is currently seeking help following his online tirades against ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The withdrawal also comes after a petition was started online calling for Coachella to remove Kanye.
"We have watched Kanye harass, manipulate, and hurt Kim, Pete, and others for over a year now. No one seems to want to stand up to him, and the ones that do, he puts under fire as well. Most recently, he has been threatening actual bodily harm on others. This is ridiculous that he is allowed to freely do this. Coachella (along with other brand names that are still working with him) should be ashamed of themselves and should not be giving him any more of a platform. Please sign & share!" reads the petition.
As of Tuesday, 5 April, it has been signed by over 49,000 people.

Meanwhile, Kanye was also barred from attending the Grammys and he was also banned from Instagram.
He was reportedly banned from performing due to recent “concerning online behaviour”.
Page Six reports that close sources to the star have revealed that he will not be making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements.
It is not clear who will be replacing Ye at the Coachella event, however, other artists who are headlining the event include Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.
In February, the star threatened to boycott Coachella unless Billie Eilish apologises to his friend Travis Scott, after a blog post claimed that she “dissed” Scott. However, Eilish said the allegations were false.
