Nicole Scherzinger is using her new music to give fans a glimpse of the real her. The singer says people have a pre-existing idea of who she is and she's ready to "break out of that box".
Speaking to Variety about her upcoming EP, 'Warrior', Nicole expresses her desire to embrace all the sides of her capabilities as a singer.
"It was important people get to see me in this intimate setting, to truly hear me, and experience my love and connection of music through singing. … to create a space for me where I can live out my full potential as an artist, without having to be defined by any style or genre of music," the 43-year-old said.
The 'Right There' hitmaker teased some of her new music at a showcase in Hollywood last week. She performed 'Never Going Back' - an unreleased song - for the audience.

Nicole last released a solo album in 2014. Her 'Big Fat Lie' album produced songs such as 'Your Love', 'Run', and 'On The Rocks'.
In late 2019, Nicole announced that she would be reuniting with her former group, The Pussycat Dolls, for a limited UK reunion tour in 2020.
They also released their hit single 'React' in 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Pussycat Dolls had to reschedule some of their tour dates, and by January 2022, Nicole announced that the tour had been cancelled.
Her fellow group members revealed that they had no idea that the tour had been cancelled when Nicole made the announcement.
"We want to say how incredibly disappointed we are to learn of an announcement made on Instagram that the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour is canceled.... it seems as though it’s the end of a chapter to an incredible, life-altering experience filled with some awesome memories that we will forever be grateful for," Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta said in a joint statement.
