Seven years later and the queen herself is back on the music scene, even though she is not around anymore to experience her success.
Rolling Stone reported that back in 1990, she recorded a cover of the classic hit from Steve Winwood, 'Higher Love', which was reportedly meant for her I'm Your Baby Tonight album.
Almost 29-years-later, her estate decided to refresh the cover by partnering up with Norwegian DJ, Kygo, for a collab of note.
Pat Houston, the sister-in-law and executor of the star's estate, chose Kygo because of his tasteful remix of Marvin Gaye's hit, 'Sexual Healing', which was released back in 2013.

The producer took to his Twitter account to share a 30-second teaser of the song, which has garnered a host of positive comments commending him for his superb work on the piece.
Thanks to technology and the work of a legendary producer, Whitney's rhythm, soul, and music will live on for generations to come.
