Jennifer Hudson got to perform 'Memory' from her new movie 'Cats' during ‘The Voice Live Finale’ and it was simply amazing!
Ladies and gentlemen get ready to be mesmerized by the one and only Jennifer Hudson.
The star performed a song she recorded for the ‘Cats’ movie called 'Memory'. The original version featured in the hit Broadway musical and Jennifer's rendition is just as good.
‘Cats’ is set to hit cinemas this week. Jennifer stars in the film alongside Taylor Swift, James Corden and Ian McKellen.
Jennifer plays the role of Grizabella.
In a recent interview with Black Girl Nerds, Jennifer said she wanted her version of 'Memory' to give the song "new life".
“Keep it as true to the original as possible. It’s classic songs. They are already great and I love keeping them that way, that’s why I want to sing them because they are so great as they are. But then my job is always to give it new life, and at times that’s the challenge. What is left to do with the song you know what I mean? So, bringing the emotions to it and help like tell the story I feel like was the thing that made it what it is you know,” the star said.
Jennifer’s performance was captivating and beautiful.
