ICMP names Lewis Capaldi the hardest working artist in the music industry
Updated | By Poelano Malema
The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) has released the names of the artists with the most shows, and Lewis Capaldi came out tops followed by Billie Eilish and P!nk.
Being an artist requires lots of hard work. It means tons of hours in rehearsal, coming up with new songs, and producing great shows that you keep getting booked.
Taking Billboard’s Top 100 artists from 2018 and 2019, ICMP analysed which artists worked the hardest in terms of having the most shows.
Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi had the highest number of shows. The 'Someone You Loved' hitmaker had 195 shows since the start of 2018.
He was followed by Billie Eilish with 184 shows, P!nk with 167 shows, Ed Sheeran with 156 shows, and Elton John with 150 shows.
The researchers also looked at artists who travelled the most and the one who had the most international shows.
Ed Sheeran was the most travelled artist. He performed in 32 countries.
Elton John, on the other hand, was the artist with the most international shows. He had 147 shows abroad.
Here is the full list of the most hard-working artists.
