Brian McFadden says he hasn't spoken to Westlife bandmates in years
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Brian McFadden has no regrets about leaving Westlife.
"I wonder how, I wonder why, I wonder where they are. The days we had, the songs we sang together," Westlife's 'My Love' lyrics pretty much sum up Brian McFadden's relationship with his former bandmates.
Brian left the popular Irish boyband almost two decades ago. The 41-year-old says he hasn't spoken to Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, and Kian Egan in years.
He joined forces with former Boyzone member, Keith Duffy, in 2016, to create "supergroup" Boyzlife. Their debut offering, 'Strings Attached', was recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and featured some of their biggest hits with their former bands.
The duo is now gearing up for the release of their first studio album, 'Old School', in May.
Brian and Keith have been doing press tours to promote their new music. During an interview on ITV’s 'This Morning' show, Brian revealed where he stands with his former bandmates.
"I haven’t spoken to them in ten years... I’ve actually been in Boyzlife longer, which is weird," he said.

The duo's first single from their new album, 'The One', has been well received.
"90s is not dead, feels like 90s is more alive than ever. Keep it up Keith and Brian," one YouTube user commented.
Boyzlife dropped their new song, 'Burn For You', a few days ago. Brian marked the release of the video with a sweet clip showing precious moments with his family.
Brian is currently engaged to former P.E teacher, Danielle Parkinson. The couple welcomed their daughter Ruby last year.
Brian also has two older children with Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona. The singer says his family is everything to him.
"My career is great. I love singing every night for the last 25 years. But nothing comes close to the feeling I’ve got in these moments! My beautiful baby Ruby. My stunning daughter Lilly winning coach trip on her first tv adventure and my incredibly talented beautiful daughter molly making me prouder and prouder every day chasing her dreams and working her butt off!" he wrote on Instagram.
