Black Coffee urges SAMAs to amend their nomination list and add 'Jerusalema'

International DJ, Black Coffee, is begging the South African Music Awards to do justice and nominate the biggest song in Africa at the moment - ‘Jerusalema’, for the SAMA26 awards.
DJ Black Coffee has joined a number of people begging the South African Music Awards to nominate Master KG and Nomcebo’s hit song, ‘Jerusalema’.
Not only is the song topping the charts globally, but the two musicians have also been named the young ambassador for South Africa by the Department of Arts, Sports and Culture.
Minister Nathi Mthethwa commended the musicians for putting South Africa on the map and uniting people all over the globe through their music.
I'm very much hounered to be appointed alongside the ever talented @MasterKg as an ambassador. Thanks to the minister @NathiMthethwaSA for recognizing our hard work and the rest of the world for making JERUSALEMA what it is today...🙌🏻

Despite 'Jerusalema' being a global hit, the South African Music Awards has not nominated it for any awards. At the time of the nomination, the song was already sitting on over 50-million views on YouTube.
Black Coffee has now asked the SAMAs to change their list and include Master KG's 'Jerusalema'.
He said it wasn't too late for them to amend their list of nominees.
@TheSAMAs don't you wanna make history,by adding Jerusalema on this year's Awards...I mean you can.

Black Coffee is not the first musician to ask the SAMAs to change their list.
'Matorokisi' hitmaker Makhadzi was the first musician to complain.
"Even the Grammies do realize their system is flawed and try to rectify it. Representation is important. @TheSAMAs just want to destroy our artists. The world appreciates and Recognize you Master KG," she tweeted.

This is devastating to be honest. Year after year. Even the Grammies do realize their system is flawed and try to rectify it. Representation❗️is important. @TheSAMAs just want to destroy our artists. The world appreciates and Recognize you Master KG.❤️#SAMA26 https://t.co/5tn5RslZTn

Another artist who has shown support to Master KG is Prince Kaybee, who is nominated for the 'Song Of The Year' award at the SAMAs.
“If I win Song Of The Year this year at the SAMAS I am gnna go get that award edited to… “Master KG Ft Nomcebo - Jerusalem”.Thats just my contribution to what they have achieved this year,” he tweeted.

Cassper Nyovest has also blamed the SAMAs for foul work.
He tweeted: “Master KG and Jerusalema has more hype than the Samas. Im sure they must be pissed off cause they knew what they were doing was foul and God said, NOT WITH MY CHILD!!!! He elevated him even further!!!! Modimo ha se sematla tlemna!!!”.
