Forget drinking coffee or tea to kickstart your morning, just drinking hot water can do wonders for your health.
Many of us love a hot cup of coffee or tea in the morning, but both beverages come with added disadvantages like caffeine and having to add sugar to make them tasty. However, drinking just hot/warm water has exclusive benefits which can do wonders for your health.
Here are four health benefits of drinking hot water:
Helps your digestive system
If you are suffering from constipation and indigestion, just drink a glass or two of hot water. Hot water breaks down food, making it easier to digest. It also widens blood vessels in the bowels which helps prevent constipation.
Relieves period pain and cramps
Most women dread periods because of the pain they cause. If you are one of those women who has terrible period pains and cramps, you may just want to try drinking hot water. One of the benefits of hot water is that it relaxes muscles. Hot water also helps avoid painful bloating during menstruation. So if you suffer from period pains and cramps, that hot glass of water might just be the remedy you need.
Helps with weight loss
Have you noticed how drinking a glass of water on an empty stomach can help reduce hunger? Drinking hot water can help if you are trying to cut down on your food portions, and it also reduces cravings. Hot water increases body temperature, which results in an increased metabolic rate. An increase in metabolic rate makes the body burn more calories, which is just what you need when trying to lose weight. But the most important thing when it comes to how hot/warm water can help you lose weight is that it breaks down fat deposits from the body.
Great for detoxing
Drinking hot water helps the body detox by forming urine and sweat. Apart from helping you detoxify, hot water helps with blood circulation and purifies the blood. The good news is, in return, this prevents immature aging.
