Three movies to watch after a messy break-up
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
These movies will help cure your break-up blues. Grab some tissues, because you will be crying with laughter - not tears of sadness!
And they lived happily ever after.... well, in fairy tale books anyway.
Not all romances have a happy ending, and if you are going through a tough break-up in 2020, then these three movies will make you feel better.
It's perfectly normal to feel sad and disappointed after a break-up, but don't let memories of your ex-partner keep you in a dark place for too long.
Seriously Single
Nobody understands the pain of a break-up more than the lead actress in Netflix's South African film, 'Seriously Single'. Dineo (played by Fulu Mugovhani) got dumped on Valentine's Day! The hopeless romantic is on a mission to find Mr Right, but her friend Noni (Tumi Morake) helps her realise that she needs to let loose and enjoy the single life.

Girls Trip
Getting over a break-up is easier when you have your friends cheering you up. You might not be able to take a trip with your girls at the moment due to COVID-19, but watching this movie with a few or your friends will help lift your mood.
He's Just Not That Into You
If you have trouble spotting red flags in your relationships, then this is the movie for you. If he's not calling you... red flag. If he's not marrying you (and you want to get married)... red flag! The movie is an adaptation of a self-improvement book written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, so you know there will be more than a few gems to help with your next relationship.
