This new WhatsApp feature will allow you to correct mistakes made on your text messages.
WhatsApp is constantly updating its features to enhance user experience.
Over the years, many users have been asking for the edit option for sent messages. This request has finally been granted!
"For the moments when you make a mistake, or simply change your mind, you can now edit your sent messages.
"From correcting a simple misspelling to adding extra context to a message, we’re excited to bring you more control over your chats," read a statement on the WhatsApp website.

How to edit WhatsApp sent messages
The new feature allows you to edit the sent messages provided that they are edited within 15 minutes of being sent.
"All you need to do is long-press on a sent message and choose ‘Edit’ from the menu for up to fifteen minutes after," reads a statement on the site.
However, bear in mind that the person you sent the message to will be aware that you have edited it.
"Edited messages will display ‘edited’ alongside them, so those you’re messaging are aware of the correction without showing edit history," states WhatsApp.
The feature is currently not available on all phones, however, WhatsApp said it will "be available to everyone in the coming weeks".
