- The Glenwood Bakery
"I don't typically eat bread, but this is a must. Glenwood Bakery is famous for its bread. They make the BEST Potato and Rosemary Ciabatta that you could sell a loved one for, it's so good. It's the reason we eat carbs. Their coffee is also outstanding," shares Stacey.
You can also get this bread in Umhlanga from African Roots, which is a bespoke spot with killer coffee.
- Harry James
Stacey says: "Harry James is great. They've got live entertainment basically every night and all the cocktails are under R100. Such a vibe!"From dancing to throwback tunes, indulging in extraordinary cocktails and chilling with like-minded folk, this joint is a winner in Stacey's eyes.
*Note, this is not suitable for the kids. Over 23 from Tuesday to Thursday. Ladies over 25, Men over 27 on Friday and Saturday. No age limit on Sunday.
- Bamboo Sushi Lounge
Stacey goes on to mention: "Bamboo just for the Pad Thai! I am a big fan of a restaurant that isn't always flashy in its decor cause you know the food is so good. I swear by the Pad Thai."
This spot is located in the heart of Umhlanga Rocks.
Some latest remarks from this 031 resident: "Obviously, you need to be on the promenade just as the sun is rising. Whether you are running, walking etc. you need to look at the water and the beauty."
