On this day back in 1983, Bonnie Tyler released her hit song, ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ which went on to become one of her biggest hits.

It has been 37 years since the hit single was released. The song came out on February 11, 1983. It was composed by Jim Steinman.
Since then, it has been covered by many artists, including Lissette Alvarez, Exit Eden, and Nicki French.
The song spent four weeks at the top of the charts and was Billboard's number-six song of the year for 1983.
It was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and won the Variety Club award in the UK for best single of 1983.
