They are using a robot dog to bark COVID-19 safety measures in Shanghai, China.
The robodog has a loudspeaker strapped to its back telling residents in the Jiading district to wear a mask, wash hands frequently, and check your temperature. (The Times)

The city has been under strict lockdown following a surge in COVID-19 Omicron infections since the end of March.
They have extremely strict regulations, including that pets of COVID-19 patients have to be destroyed.
With such technologies in place to ensure that people are safe and infections are managed, we can hope they see a decline soon.
