The moment has gone viral and shows a photo of the U15 player from Rondebosch Boys standing next to Etzebeth - and the schoolboy is taller than the Springbok giant!
This was during a time when the Springboks had their alignment camp in Cape Town earlier in the month of May.
According to The South African, it was during a field training session that several boys from the school had the opportunity to meet their Springbok heroes.
Smith is 14 years old and already taller than Etzebeth.
It sent waves through social media. An interesting statistic is that Smith reportedly stands at 2.05m tall and weighs in at 131kg.
That is 0.02m taller and 14kg heavier than Etzebeth. Crazy!
