The #BigFavour puts an end to a family's tough times
Updated | By Damon Beard
Merie and her family have had a very tough year just like many other South Africans. Her two boys are her life and she would do anything to help them. Thus the reason she wrote into the Big Favour.
Take a listen to this week's Big Favour or read the details under the podcast.
Both boys are very into their sports. They play school rugby, club rugby, and cricket.
Merie’s self-employed husband, the boys Dad, had a hip replacement in January that had him off work for a whole month. Without employment, things just went from bad to worse

It’s that time of the year again where cricket is a major part of the boy’s lives, and both are in need of a bat and shoes, but after visiting various stores for cricket kit specials, the cost is just completely out of Marie’s reach and she wrote to us in desperation.
We contacted JJ Reed and the team at Sport Box (Shop 90 Oxford Village, 9 Old Main Road, Hillcrest) who jumped on board to help.
