Terrified Durban couple in Ukraine risk their lives to escape Russia's missiles
They detail how they evaded missiles and disguised Russian soldiers to escape Ukraine on Keri's Couch.
Keri Miller saw a Facebook post by a mom whose child was in Ukraine studying medicine and working. She was sharing her anxiety and fear, especially with the recent Russian attacks that have claimed the lives of innocent people.
The Russian invasion began on 24 February 2022 and has since caused havoc in Ukraine and across the world.

Christina had been in the Ukraine for three years and her boyfriend, Joel, joined her recently.

It was only until a certain point of hearing thuds of bombs and missiles that they decided to pack their bags and return to Durban.

One can only imagine how travelling for three days in fear of your life feels...
This daunting feeling was escalated by the notification that Russian soldiers were disguised as Ukrainian soldiers.

It was obviously a traumatic experience for the young couple who have their whole lives ahead of them.
