Tamar Braxton felt like a 'slave' prior to alleged suicide attempt

Tamar Braxton reportedly sent messages to her family before her attempted suicide on Thursday.
On 16 July fans were hit with news that singer, reality star and the youngest of the Braxton sisters was hospitalized after she was found unresponsive by her boyfriend in her hotel room.
According to reports by the Daily Mail, the 'Love & War' hitmater was hospitalised due to a 'possible overdose'.

It has now been revealed that she had allegedly sent the same message to various family members, a message she had intended to be a tweet to her fans.
"I am a slave. I do not own my life. My stories. My pictures. My thoughts or beliefs. I’ve asked my massa to free me. I’m threatened and punished for it. The only way I see out is death. I will choose that before I continue to [live] like this. please help me,' Tamar's message reads, followed by a prayer emoji.

The 43-year-old star had also changed her name on Twitter from 'Tamar Braxton' to 'Tamar "Slave" Braxton'.
While the full details of her condition have not been made public, messages of encouragement and prayers for healing have been pouring in for the singer on social media.
