Springbok legend Bryan Habana's dad has been arrested

Bad news for the Habana family this Tuesday.
Rugby World Cup 2007 winner Bryan Habana's father has been arrested for fraud.
Bernard James Habana has been arrested before, for the same charge. The case has been going on for roughly five years.
Habana Snr was brought to Linden police station in Johannesburg before later appearing in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court. The judge granted him bail of R1,000 and the case was postponed to a later date.

A law enforcement official who is close to the case stated Habana Snr had been apprehended after he was alleged to have been posing as a travel agent.

Police spokesperson Dimakatso Sello made a statement that the suspect was arrested on Monday and that he had already appeared in the Randburg Magistrate's Court.
There was a case reportedly first opened back in 2015 and the state will call on a number of victims as state witnesses against Habana Snr.

At the time, a woman had alleged that she had deposited money into an account belonging to Bernard Habana and his girlfriend, who was identified as Mbalii Mtetwa.
