Things escalated when Chris Rock took a jab at his wife's bald appearance with a 'G.I. Jane' joke.

The Oscar winner had apologised on the stage as he received his Best Actor Award.
He has now gone completely public and included an apology for Chris Rock as well.

We can imagine the regret that the family man feels, especially after the world's reaction to the scene at the Oscars.
Should his award be taken from him? Maybe not.

We can appreciate that he acknowledges how the violent reaction was unnecessary.
Chris Rock had made a joke alluding to Jada Pinkett Smith's bald appearance which is actually a result of her medical condition, alopecia.
