Cyril Ramaphosa jets off to attend Queen Elizabeth II's funeral

Cyril Ramaphosa to pay his respects to the late Queen.
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will fly to the United Kingdom to attend the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
According to Sowetan Live, the funeral will be held on Monday, 19 September, and Ramaphosa will only land in London on Sunday, 18 September.

On the Sunday, he's also expected to attend the King's reception, which will be hosted by the monarch King Charles III.
King Charles III assumed his reign as the new leader after his mother passed away last week.
According to the President's office, Ramaphosa is one of the many heads of state and government officials who were invited to the funeral service by Buckingham Palace.
In a statement that the office has released, the President will be working on his United States and United Kingdom tour during the time that he is away.

"Immediately after the funeral service, UK foreign secretary, James Cleverly will host a reception for heads of state, government and other distinguished guests in the precincts of Westminster Abbey", says the office of the President.
Ramaphosa departed on Wednesday, 14 September, for Washington D.C. in the US.
His visit to the USA is in honour of an invitation from USA President Joe Biden.
