LISTEN: "We are back and celebrating 20 years of Ballito Rage" - Greg Walsh
Updated | By Darren, Keri and Sky
As much as it's back to normal for Ballito Rage, there will be an even bigger focus on safety and security this time around.
After 12 months, Ballito Rage has made its return for the Grade 12 learners of KwaZulu-Natal and rest of South Africa.
This comes after the spectacle was cancelled last year after 36 COVID-19 cases put a stop to the event.

However, in the last couple months, a lot of hard work, preparation, and local personnel got together to make this festive celebration for the class of 2022 a major success.
We had the opportunity to catch up with the organiser of Ballito Rage, Greg Walsh, earlier in the week.
Listen to what Greg had to say about how this has been one of the most challenging times for him and the joy it has been to make Ballito Rage a dream come true again.
G&G Productions are the organisers behind the popular Rage festivals.
If you remember last year, organisers had to test staff and guests who were attending the event at a facility near the event site.

Even though 122 members of their staff tested negative for the virus prior to the start of the festival, at least 36 people tested positive.
However, that's now in the past and after some modification of the safety measures, as well as raising awareness to parents on the importance of safety within the event, Greg has assured the public that things are on track.

"Talking about the journey, it's been the most challenging yet in my life. From a brand to business perspective it's been tough but I'm thankful that the people of KZN has given us huge support," says Greg.
This year promises to be even better as the organisers have made huge efforts to plan out an awesome line-up.
