Eskom implemented Stage 6 loadshedding from midday on Wednesday. EskomSePush and PowerAlert.co.za has calculated South Africa has endured over 3,214 hours or 144 days of loadshedding in 2022 alone.

Yes, stage 6 is bad and the economy pays the price, but to put it in perspective: Zimbabweans are being subjected to 19 hours of power cuts a day at the moment, because there is insufficient water in the Kariba Dam to drive the nation’s main hydropower plant.

Two employees at a glass manufacturer were sacked after testing positive for cannabis and took their case to the labour court. They said the Constitutional Court had ruled dagga was a herb, not a drug, but the judge said this was untrue. Much like you can't go to work drunk, you also can't go to work high, unless you work on a Marijuana farm.
