The effects of this year's flooding are still being felt, after warnings from the eThekwini Municipality and Talbot – a water treatment service company – stated that beaches along the Durban coastline and some rivers are not safe for use. Beaches along the Durban coastline have been found to contain high levels of harmful bacteria called E. coli, which causes illnesses like gastroenteritis and diarrhea.

Another business was robbed inside Gateway in the early hours of Sunday morning. A gang of robbers entered Game 4U and stole Playstations off the top shelves with the aid of a stick and climbing onto counters.

Formula One boss Stefano Domenicali arrived in South Africa on Monday for talks that could see the Kyalami circuit return to the grand prix calendar next year for the first time since 1993.

The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has urged some South African Mercedes-Benz owners to stop driving their cars, following a global recall. The recall relates to possible brake failure due to corrosion in the housing joining points of the Mercedes-Benz ML, GL (model series 164), and R-Class (model series 251), manufactured between 2006 and 2019.

Netflix has officially given 'Squid Game' season 2 the green light. On Sunday, Netflix released a teaser and a message to the fans from writer, director, producer, and creator Hwang Dong-Hyuk. "It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year, but it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series ever."
