The recent passing of beloved South African rapper AKA has been devastating for his family and fans alike.
However, his parents have recently shared their blessing with those wishing to visit his gravesite.

AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, was a celebrated South African hip-hop artist and admired by many.
His parents, along with his closest friends and family, have been struggling with his passing and have been seeking comfort in the support they have received from fans and admirers.
Now, in a show of kindness and understanding, AKA’s parents, Tony and Lynn Forbes, have given their blessing to those wishing to pay their respects at his gravesite.
Through a message shared Tony Forbes, he expressed his gratitude for the respect shown to his son and welcomed those seeking to connect with him.
Meanwhile, AKA’s parents took his four Metro FM awards to his grave, a day after the music ceremony.
The late rapper scooped four Metro FM Awards in the following categories: 'Artist of the Year', 'Best Collaboration Song (Lemons to Lemonade ft Nasty C)', 'Best Hip Hop Artist', and 'Best Male Artist'.

AKA’s posthumous album 'Mass Country' was released just two weeks after his murder.
After appearing at the awards ceremony, the star’s parents and their granddaughter made a trip to his final resting place at the West Park Cemetery in Johannesburg.
The rapper is buried alongside music royalty with the likes of Mandoza and Robbie Malinga at Heroes Acre.
