Restaurant offers loyal customers a free hair wash
It seems not everyone enjoys their hair smelling like food...
We've seen some out-of-this-world things in China, so, it never ceases to amaze us when something new emerges.
This time is it a restaurant called HaiDiLao in Wuxi, China. The restaurant specialises in hotpots and has something unorthodox going on after meals.
They have launched a hair-washing service for their customers who prefer to wash the smell of food out of their hair.
It seems that after enjoying a bowl of hotpot, which can be described as a soup-like dish that has a variety of ingredients and is a communal experience, it can leave a stench in your hair.
It seems the largest hotpot franchise in China has come up with a solution to the aromatic hair smell.
"HaiDiLao, China’s largest hotpot restaurant chain, recently launched a shampooing service at one of its restaurants in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. The hair salon-like experience is only available to loyal customers who accumulate enough loyalty points, called ‘Lao coins’, by spending enough money at HaiDiLao locations." (Oddity Central)

So, it seems your loyalty points don't go unnoticed but give you a fresh head of hair.
The experience has been hailed as 'luxurious'. Customers can choose from a variety of shampoos, they also receive a relaxing head massage while a professional hair expert works on their hair.
Each Lao coin is worth a Yuan (R2.58) and although the hair service is still in its testing phase, it has done quite well, with people flocking to the restaurant to make reservations.
