Fancy being hired to taste cheese and pizza for R280/hour?
Updated | By East Coast Radio/ Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
Sounds like something of a dream for all cheeseheads and pizzaronis...
Like that Bruno Mars song, wouldn't it be a dream to get paid to do nothing?
Well, if nothing involved tasting food and getting paid for it, we would vote yes.
And if you don't have a problem with lactose or gluten, then this would be right up your alley.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison "is hiring taste-testers, or more formally known as descriptive sensory panelists." (Fox 11)
Their Centre for Dairy Research has shared that they are in search of people who are passionate about food.
Most specifically, cheese, pizza, and other dairy products.
"While the job posting says previous sensory panelist experience is preferred, the centre says it will teach you how to describe and evaluate food." (Fox 11)

The food tasters - aka 'descriptive sensory panelists' - are expected to "taste up to 24 cheese samples each week, as well as 12 pizzas and other food products." (Fox 11)
The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at the Madison campus and will earn $15 an hour (R279.00).
The candidate will also form part of a panel that hosts expert tasters.
"Training will include how to describe the appearance, texture, taste, and aroma of various foods for product development and research purposes." (Instagram)
