Bride requests bridesmaids to get a tattoo on hen night
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Tattoos have different meanings to different people...
As we recently saw, tattoos are not something you take lightly. This is why we really enjoyed seeing the initiative between Surreal Tattoos and the Drive Show duo, Stacey and J Sbu.
But getting inked is something that comes with meaning, and one bridesmaid has taken to Reddit to share her story.
A bride wants all her of her bridesmaids to get a tattoo with her for her hen night. This bridesmaid is not very comfortable with it.
“She (the bride) wants the whole party to get a tattoo commemorating the trip with her, but my issue is that she got engaged after only being with her boyfriend (now fiancé) for four months. She has had a string of failed engagements in the past and so I’m not exactly optimistic that this will work out, and therefore don’t want to be potentially stuck with a tattoo commemorating a failed engagement." The bridesmaid has expressed that she is not comfortable getting a tattoo. The bride got upset, demanding to know why.
Not ideal considering this is feeding into the stereotype of the term 'Bridezilla'.
The bridesmaid obviously didn't say why. The bride wanted the tattoo to be iconic of the city they are visiting for the hen party, with the year 2023 underneath.
Now if you are a pressuring your bridesmaid to have something so permanent imprinted on their bodies, at the very least you should let them decide what it will be.
