Ballet rain dancer receives once-in-a-lifetime scholarship

Eleven-year-old Anthony Mmesoma Madu captured the hearts of the world while dancing in the rain.
Anthony, a young boy from Nigeria, never thought that his ballet video would make it's way all across the world.

Barefoot in the rain, his dancing captivated millions, including Viola Davis and Cynthia Erivo, receiving admiration and praise.
Now his beautiful story continues and he will be able to take his passion and love for ballet to the next level after receiving a scholarship to attend New York's most prestigious American Ballet Theatre.

He will be starting his virtual training soon and will hopefully be able to travel to The United States for further training in 2021.
Anthony has said that ballet is his life and tells the story of how when his mom sends him on an errand, he does a quick ballet dance before leaving, as it makes him feel very happy.
