Nasty C causes controversy with pic of his 'pet shark'
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
When people are in the spotlight they are open to public criticism on a daily basis. Posting a picture on social media can have crazy ramifications, but when you have more than 900,000 followers, it's even worse.
I remember meeting Nasty C at Durban Day and as young as he is, he certainly has an energy and vibe about him. He is the kind of guy that I wouldn't put past having a pet shark, kind of like if Snoop Dogg or Justin Beiber had a finned pet.

What amuses me is how social media takes these types of issues so personally. To be frank, if he wants to spend that kind of money on a shark, who are you to start chirping? He works hard, doesn't he?

Sure, from a respect and nature conservation point of view, it's hardly ideal having a shark in your pool.
In a bid to calm the situation, Nasty C's team confirmed it was just a bit of Photoshop fun.
