There is a new trend on TikTok and if you are a parent, be warned as you are being called out!
What is the biggest lie your parents have ever told you?
From the hilarious to the shocking, this new TikTok trend is aiming to get to the bottom of that question. Users are taking to their personal TikTok accounts to share some of their fondest childhood stories in which their parents may have told a few little white lies.
One of the most popular submissions has been by TikTok user, @missladygleep, who shared what her parents once told her after her cat had died.
Instead of a simple fib used by most parents when their child's pet dies, @missladygleep says that her parents decided to get just a little bit more creative.
One day, I had no idea where [my cat] went, so I asked my mom, and my mom told me that … all she ever wanted was to become an actress, so she got on an aeroplane to go after her dreams.
Younger then, she believed the story told by her mom.
It was not until years later when the movie, 'Cats and Dogs', came out that things became really awkward. According to @missladygleep, one of the cats in the movie looked suspiciously like her old pet.
She then had to confront her mother to ask if that was indeed her late cat, whom she was told had left them to pursue a life in Hollywood.

Unfortunately for Missy, she later found out the real truth as to how her cat her died, this after her grandpa let slip that her cat had died under their porch.
This story got Stacey and J Sbu thinking about the biggest and worst lies that they were told by their parents.
