Zakwe bemoans MTV snub, feels 'numb'

As with any list of its type, the MTV Base Hottest MC top ten has caused much debate.

Cassper Nyovest was ranked at number one on the list, while the likes of AKA, K.O, Ifani, and Kid X also featured in the top ten.

One man who was left off the list altogether was Zakwe, and he is less than happy with the decision.

The Impande star feels the final result is skewed, with a few names very fortunate to have made it to begin with.

Following his show at Maftown Heights, Zakwe said, according to Sowetan: "Eish, I don't know how I feel, It's more like I'm numb in a way.

"Looking at the list, I feel that there are rappers who should not even be there, I'm not gonna say names but that's how I feel.

"In terms of that criteria and the judges, I don't blame them [for what] they did and it's done."

Now, we are not sure if Zakwe's response is bitter or warranted? One of the main reasons these lists are put out there is to create a debate, while the free exposure garnered is welcomed with open arms by the creators.

To put things into perspective, while Zakwe is unhappy, Cassper couldn't seem to care less about the 'achievement'.
