Doctors in America say that a male birth control could be available over the counter in the next few years.
There is a plot twist however in that this pill will not work for months like birth control does for most women. It will be a daily-dose drug which means it will be ineffective after a day.

This pill called DMAU was developed this way because studies show that men prefer a once-off drug that they can use at their discretion.
The drug must be taken with food, and thankfully it does not affect a man's sex drive.
