Miss SA 2015 recovering after horrific crash
Former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie is thanking her lucky stars after a "horrific" car crash recently.
Liesl Laurie is taking a break from the entertainment scene after being involved in an accident last week.
According to the Sunday World, the 25-year-old’s car was hit from behind, causing her to smash into a truck in front of her.
Liesl reportedly had to escape the wreckage through the back of her car, as part of her vehicle was stuck under the truck.
Eyewitnesses told the publication that the accident, which occurred on the N1 highway just before the New Road off-ramp in Midrand on Thursday, left her shaking uncontrollably.
Her publicist Jarred Doyle says she escaped with minor injuries, and will be taking a short break from driving, and public appearances.
Liesl spent the days after the crash spending some time with her family.
