J Cole and Kendrick Lamar remix each other’s songs
Updated | By Bongani Mtolo
The two MCs really went crazy on
this beat swap.
J Cole and Kendrick Lamar have added more fuel to rumours that they have a project cooking.
The Forest Hills rapper and the Compton MC have traded beats and released tracks for what is being dubbed the Black Friday beat swap.
Cole has put his own spin on K Dot’s standout cut from To pimp a butterfly, Alright whilst Kendric reworked A tale of two cities.
It would have been so easy to ruin this song but Cole sounds as focused as ever, dropping bar after bar with his usual charm.
Kendrick on the other hand drops a ferocious four minute verse and shows off just how much he has in the tank.
Cole on his track also drops a hint that something special is happening in February. We hope it’s the collaborative album.
We can’t wait for this to happen.
