Bongani has been invited to a birthday party for a one-year-old. However, Bongani is against even going to this party, citing that the kid doesn't even know what's happening at that age. So why go? Is this not just a chance for the parents to show off?

Parents who throw parties for their infants and spend thousands of Rands on them are actually just throwing these parties for themselves.
"In all honesty, the kid is too busy throwing up on themselves and making a poo in his nappy to appreciate the balloons, jumping castle, strangers, decorations, and everything," says Bongani.
