An Italian town woke up to wine pouring out of the taps and no one was complaining...
With alcohol sales banned in the country, this is definitely what many dreams are made of in Mzansi!

Residents in a northern village in Italy were given a touch of joy during the Coronavius pandemic when they found wine instead of water flowing out of their taps.
A technical fault at a nearby winery resulted in what some may call a miracle. The liquid pouring out of taps had the clear smell of Lambrusco Grasparossa, a sparkling red famous in the Modena region. At R750 a pop in South Africa, this was definitely some good stuff!

A leak from a silo resulted in the wine being deposited into the local water supply and residents stored the wine away in bottles for the future.

Water authorities hurried to fix the situation but no one was harmed in the process... just maybe a few headaches.
