Pearl Thusi faces the wrath of Twitter once again
Updated | By Nokuthula Ngcobo
The actress just can't seem to catch a break on social media as of late.
It has been a rocky week for 'Queen Sono' star, Pearl Thusi on social media - particularly Twitter - as she has been dragged twice in one week.
The actress was first dragged for quoting Beyonce's 'Brown Skin Girl' lyrics as a caption alongside a picture of herself. This sparked a colourism debate in which some felt that she has no right to call herself 'brown skinned'.

Fast forward to Saturday afternoon and 'Mama Panther' (as she is affectionately known) found herself trending at number one; this time for "being vain".
When comedian, Mpho Popps took to Instagram to share his excitement for having two of his projects airing this weekend on Mzansi Magic, Pearl commented on the post - but her reply was more about her 'nice-life problem' than that of Mpho's.

This short interaction found its way to the streets of Twitter where Pearl's reply was dissected. While many felt that Pearl should have congratulated Mpho and kept it moving, others thought outside the box and labelled the interaction "a marketing strategy" to get more viewers behind Mpho's comedy special and movie, respectively.
