#SlipperDay2018: Not all heroes wear capes
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Be a hero and take part in Slipper Day by wearing your favourite pair of slippers in support of children with life-threatening illnesses.
In 30 years, the Reach For A Dream Foundation has brought hope to over 60,000 children across South Africa. The Foundation discovered an interesting fact about life-threatening illnesses: a larger percentage of children survive than adults.
We spoke to Kerry from Reach For A Dream about the incredible work and campaign that is being rolled out in celebration of the day, and this is everything you need to know about how you can get involved:
Whatever the dream, no matter how big or small, it often gives the child hope and courage to carry on the fight. The fulfilment of these dreams inspires hope and courage in the dreamer and helps them believe that tomorrow is worth fighting for.
Darren also participated in Slipper Day by wearing his fave slippers!
