New emojis in the new year
Any text, group chat
and social media post will be elevated to a whole new level with these new emojis coming in 2016.
Emoji's have become almost more commonplace than
actual words, and it only seems right that new icons be added to the current
collection. While 😻, 🙌 , and 🙊 are
great, a whole new world of characters awaits us — one that
includes Mr and Mrs Santa Clause and a clown.
Unicode Consortium, the company responsible for emoji standardization, is now looking at 38 new candidates to be approved for a "mid-2016" release and we cannot wait.
Here are some emojis to look forward to in 2016:
1. The dancing lady in red has a partner
2. The bride has a groom
3. Mr and Mrs Santa Clause
4. The princess finds her prince
5. A new way to announce a pregnancy
6. Funny faces
7. Hand gestures
8. Food
9. Sadness
10. Animals
11. and vehicles
