WATCH: Massive fire breaks out near uMhlanga promenade
The fire took place near the bench area just off the popular uMhlanga promenade.
The fire took place just outside the popular Breakers Resort in uMhlanga.
According to uMhlanga Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP), the fire which broke out on the decked seating area around the northern section of the uMhlanga promenade.

According to uMhlanga UIP, the promenade and the forest boardwalk were not affected. The area between Hawaan View and Breakers Resort will be closed at night due to no lights working in the area.

Rescue workers did an incredible job getting the blaze under control.

It is not certain what started the fire and if anyone was injured, but we will have more information on this as it comes in.
