A new blood test can reveal genetic abnormalities in foetuses early in pregnancy. This new method, dubbed EVITA, is a type of blood test that isolates foetal cells from the pregnant woman’s blood.

The case against the Govender brothers from Phoenix in Durban, who were found guilty of assault and attempted murder during the July 2021 civil unrest, has been postponed until August.
