According to the film's director, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray's character in 'Groundhog Day' relived the same day for "30 or 40 years". In fact, whatculture.com did the math and came up with 33 years and 350 days needed to account for everything we see, hear about, and all the skills he mastered.
