Every now and then, we need to be reminded of the past, as it paved the way for the happenings of today.

In a surprising revelation that has sent shockwaves through the music industry, Drake, the Canadian rap icon, recently shared a heartwarming tribute to the late Tupac Shakur.
According to pubity, Drake has paid over a record $1-million at auction in New York for Tupac's famous ring.
That figure is well above Sotheby's pre-sale estimate of between $200,000 and $300,000, making it the most valuable hip-hop artefact ever sold in the auction house.
East Coast Breakfast host Darren Maule picked up the story earlier in the week that the ring had been missing. However, it turns out that arguably the best artist in the world bought the ring without hesitation.
"Wow, I had no idea that Drake paid so much for a ring; clearly, he must love 2Pac," says Darren.
Tupac Shakur, a pioneer of West Coast hip-hop and an emblematic figure of the '90s rap scene, left an indelible mark on the music world before his tragic and untimely passing in 1996.
His unique style, poignant lyrics, and unapologetic authenticity endeared him to millions of fans worldwide, making him an irreplaceable icon in the history of hip-hop.

For Drake, Tupac has always been an immense source of inspiration and a pivotal influence in his own artistic journey.
To honour the legacy of a man he deeply admires, Drake embarked on a relentless quest to secure the iconic ring.
After months of searching and negotiations, the crown-shaped ring found its way into Drake's hands, completing a journey that started as a humble gesture and culminated in a poignant testament of respect.
