Beyoncé Knowles is 'The Lion Queen'
The cast of the Disney classic, 'The Lion King' remake has been revealed and it includes a star-studded cast featuring the likes of John Oliver, Seth Rogan and of course Queen Bey!
Disney announced the full cast for its 2019 live-action remake of “The Lion King” and it gets the stamp of approval from us!
After months of waiting, the rumours have been confirmed to be true - Beyoncé Knowles is to play Queen Nala, Simba's childhood friend and later love interest.
Donald Glover will voice the character of Simba. James Earl Jones, who was in the original 1994 film, will return to lend his voice as Simba’s father, Mufasa once more.
The cast includes a trio of comedians which includes John Oliver, Seth Rogan and Billy Eichner. They will play Zazu, Pumba, and Timon respectively!
