WATCH: A local woman makes us LOL with her twangs...
Updated | By East Coast Radio
A South African woman has released a video on Twitter where she transitions from an English accent to down town local within seconds...
There have been moments where we wonder how little Thandeka from down the road moved abroad and we were elated for her. Then six months later, she came home and suddenly picked up an accent. She became 'Thandi' and she spoke in a high pitch, over pronouncing all her words...
Lol, we're just kidding around. But on a side note, have you ever been in a situation where you hear a friend or family member speak in a twang that is very much what you're not used to?
A woman on Twitter is seen reminding us that you never really know where someone could be from, especially in South Africa. Considering our uniqueness, diverse natures, and overall appearances, we are a rare breed and it has a lot to do with the varied cultures we are brought up in.
The video shows the woman talking in an accent that sounds very British and then all of sudden she switches like the chameleons that we are as South Africans. We can relate.

The video is very relatable and makes us think that #OnlyInSA will we have someone who can be from Durban and Dublin in one conversation. We can't say that it makes us original, but it definitely makes us think about how we can blend as South Africans.
Whether that's a good or bad thing, we can't say. Perhaps it shouldn't be labelled, and rather embraced, we can fit in anywhere!
