South Africa, the land where dogs and sheep co-exist as pets

When 'baaa' and 'woof-woof' go hand in hand...

South Africans may be opinionated in many areas, but one thing that unites most of us is our love for animals.

Look through any nook and cranny, and you will surely find an animal lover. While dogs and cats seem to be the most popular pets we keep in our homes, it's not to say that these are the only animals you will find potty trained in the house of an animal lover.

Whether it's elephants, birds, rhinos, or snakes, you can rest assured that at least one South African advocates for these beautiful creatures.

A video shared on social media proved this when we saw a dog and a sheep ride in the backseat of a Ford Focus.

In the video Daniel Bruwer shared, the sheep's wandering eyes meet with Bruwer as he records the woolly fellow and his adoptive dog "brother" seated at the back of the Ford.

The two sit snuggly near one another and seem to be well acquainted.

What was even more surprising to learn was that the owner of these amazing pets came to the comments section to share some details about her pet family. Deyshana, their owner, shared that the dog, a Boerboel X Staffie, is Hannibal, and the sheep's name is Ralph.

She said, "That's my dog Hannibal and our sheep Ralph and my mom driving."

Bruwer and many other TikTok users were ecstatic to learn this information. Some were suspicious whether Deyshana was pulling everyone's legs, but she swore this was true.

She even shared that Hannibal was trained not to eat Ralph when someone asked if they were besties.

One wrote, "I'm here for Ralph and Hannibal's friendship." We have to agree. We are all for a world where a dog and a sheep can co-exist better than toddlers while sitting in the backseat.
