GQ SA's Men Of The Year Awards honours Bonang Matheba

The Men of the Year Awards, or MOTY as it is also called, recognises the inspirational men and women who are shaping the world and making their mark. Here is the full list of winners.

There's no doubt about it: The GQ Awards is one of the most stylish awards out there.

This year we're not hung up on the red carpet looks and the fashion, we just want to know which trailblazing men and women did not let 2020 get in their way!

When looking at the honorees though, there really weren't too many surprises.

Especially the boss lady walking away with the title of Women of the Year, South Africa's very own Queen B.

This is not the first time Matheba and GQ have made headlines together.

In 2018, GQ released their 'Power Issue' with Bonang gracing the cover.

This made her the first South African woman to ever front a stand-alone cover for the publication.

But getting back to the MOTY awards, it's also no shock that Master KG was crowned Musician of the Year after his hit, 'Jerusalema', conquered the local and international music scene.

And, of course, the hilarious Elsa Majimbo takes the rightful title of Entertainer of the Year for doing exactly that.

  1. Humanitarian of the Year: Ladles of Love
  2. Man of Today: Kabelo Mabalane
  3. Man of Today: Peteni Kuzwayo
  4. Designer of the Year: Thebe Magugu
  5. Innovator of the Year: Ahren Posthumus
  6. Activist of the Year: The ManKind Project
